Here we observe the Vette in its natural habitat when it’s not being raced:

First thing I had to do to mine when I brought it home
Keep an eye on the plastic radiator tanks too, I had a coolant leak I couldn't solve and it turned out the tank had a tiiiny crack in the top

Hmmm... I replaced my water pump the day I bought the car. Partly because I wanted to replace the AC compressor and that is a NOT NICE LADY to get to.
By the way, replacing the AC compressor did nothing for my problems.
I later learned that the vacuum operated blower doors in the dash were not working and so air conditioned air was only coming in through a default hole... floor. Doesn’t help anyone when you have fogged up windows or trying to survive 105 degree days in dead stopped traffic.
Many many W ashingtons leaving my wallet later, stealership replaced all those vacuum operated actuators.
Sometimes I want to wrap this car around a tree, but then I feel bad for a tree. All its trying to do is live it’s live and convert some CO2 to O2.
I think car manufacturers should offer a program whereby they take back their crappy designed cars and give something better... or fix shitty designs for free.

Yup yup, i i actually bought a pressure tester kit so that i could check with the engine off. With it running, it would just splash leaking coolant all over the serpentine belt and i was none the wiser where it was coming from...

Ooh yes, I forgot to post an update...
The last thing I did was use a higher torque spec from a C6 Vette, red loctite and a jamming nut on top of the actual one. I marked the jamming nut with a sharpie to see if it has rotated or not...
After doing this, I did a track day,an autocross and about 400 street miles. No bearing play as of yet and the nut hasn't rotated at all. I think thats taken care of that issue...
